A note to all our parents:

Our philosophy on junior golf is to provide learning in a fun, engaging way, and encourage the life lessons golf teaches. We also encourage overall junior development. The more sports, activities, or movements introduced to juniors, the more adaptive they become in their learning of a specific sport like golf. In this way it will not be uncommon for us to do a number of activities (sometimes not involving a golf club) to encourage this development for your junior.  For example the HAPPY GILMORE Swing is a personal favorite as it engages dynamic balance, weight shift, and eye hand coordination (and it’s fun too!). We will tap into various activities and approaches to be effective teachers. Please feel free to reach out with any comments or questions.

Head Golf Professional, Michael Weingartner:

“Some of my fondest memories playing golf as a youngster came in the junior camps I participated in. I remember my favorite club was a 5-wood with a turquoise grip. I had so much confidence with that club. I would tee off with it, hit my next shot with it, and sometimes would even chip with it. My junior golf upbringing was fun, challenging at times, but definitely a great start for what has turned out to be a career and a life-long passion.” Mike turned professional in 2009 and enjoys teaching juniors of all ages and abilities. He likes to keep it simple, fun, and let them own their progress.

Assistant Golf Professional, Trevor Martinet

“By far my most enjoyable and spontaneous lessons are with our juniors. I recently had a lesson with a brother and sister where young girl had asked me if anyone had ever done a cart wheel than hit a golf ball. My response was, “I don’t know that anyone has ever thought to try.” The lesson ended with all 3 of us in turn attempting a cart wheel and hitting a golf ball immediately afterward. The joy that the kids get from learning and trying new things with no regard to failure is refreshing and keeps me excited to do my job on a daily basis.”
